General terms and Conditions

 

BOOKINGS
Bookings and be made online or via email but need to be confirmed in writing.

To reserve a tour an initial booking deposit of 150GBP off the total tour price (excluding VAT) is required per person. This booking deposit secures your place on the tour at the date specified at the time of booking; the balance is due 60 days before the departure date. If you book your tour within 60 days of the departure date then the total tour cost is due at the time of your booking.

The payment can be made online, by bank transfer or by cheque and funds must be received 60 days prior to the tour start day. Bookings can be completed on our website at www.holidaymoto.com, by phone or via email.

Once your booking is submitted you will receive a confirmation email confirming that the required deposit has been received and guaranteeing your place in the tour.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Holiday Moto Limited reserves the right to cancel or change a scheduled tour in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances.
Holiday Moto Limited reserves the right to alter routes and accommodation at short notice. In this event, tour members will be notified as soon as possible, and will be offered accommodation of similar or better standard or a reasonable adjustment in cost.
Should cancellation of a tour be necessary, the customers will be immediately notified with a written notice and the deposit will be refunded in full. No further claims can be accepted.

In case of a customer canceling his/her booking after confirmation, Holiday Moto Limited reserves the right to withhold the deposit/tour charge in part for costs incurred.
If a tour is cancelled more than 60 days prior to the departure date, the fee is 60 GBP. For canceling the tour within 60 days prior to the tour cancellation fee is as follows:

All cancellations must be received IN WRITING.

Holiday Moto Limited  reserves the right to withhold the deposit/tour charge in full when the cancellation is made less then 2 weeks prior to departure or in the event of no show up on the tour start day. The customer may provide a substitute person without forfeiting the deposit.

INSURANCE
Those taking part in the tour are responsible for arranging adequate travel, health, accident and theft insurance as well as trip cancellation insurance.
All motorcycles are insured with a Third party liability insurance and Comprehensive vehicle insurance.
A security deposit has to be paid to Holiday Moto Limited  at the time of hand-over of the motorcycle at the beginning of the rental period. The amount of this safety deposit is equal to the amount of the deductible of the vehicle insurance and is described in the schedule below.
A security deposit is to be secured by credit card or paid in cash, and will be fully refunded when the motorcycle is returned undamaged to Holiday Moto Limited . Any damage to the motorcycle, up to the insurance excess will be deducted from the security bond.

LIABILITY
Holiday Moto Limited is responsible for providing the services listed in our Terms and Conditions or at the end of tour description. Other services are not included in the price and must be requested additionally. We ask our customers to read our Terms and Conditions and to sign an indemnity waiver which is a standard practice of any tour / travel agency. The participants in a motorcycle tour are fully aware of the risks and dangers involved and accept full liability. It is agreed and understood that the owners, operators and agents of this tour, including Holiday Moto Limited are not the guardians of any customer's safety and they, individually or collectively, cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence in connection with the operation or the client's participation in connection with the tour, which might result in injury, death, or other damage to the client, his property, or his family, heirs, or assigns.

They also are themselves responsible for any damage caused to third parties and agree to forgo all claims against Holiday Moto Limited and its employees for any damage occurring during incidents on the tour. A rider is responsible for all traffic tickets received during the tour. A service charge will apply for all unpaid tickets.
All kind of complaints must be reported immediately to the tour guide and cannot be considered at a later time. Holiday Moto Limited does not accept any liability for delays caused by breakdowns or necessary repairs to motorcycles or transportation vehicles during the tour.

TOUR GUIDES
The tour guide/s is in charge of the respective tour.
Participants agree to respect instructions given by the tour guide/s, the hotel personnel, and other representatives from Holiday Moto Limited.
In case of illness or accident of the tour leader during the tour, which leads to tour cancellation, those taking part are entitled to claim for a proportional refund of the tour price.
Claims for further compensation are not valid.

TRAFFIC REGULATIONS
The participants in each motorcycle tour agree to obey the traffic regulations and all rules laid down for the group tour. They also agree not to cause any damage to natural surroundings or third parties through their actions while riding their motorcycles. In the event of a participant repeatedly ignoring rules or causing others taking part to feel threatened because of their actions, Holiday Moto Limited  reserves the right to exclude such persons from the tour without refund.
Holiday Moto Limited reserves the right to compensation.

DOCUMENTS
Every participant needs a valid driver's license to take part in a motorcycle tour. Your home license must be valid for use in the countries in which we travel to during the tour; the same restrictions apply as in the country of origin. Licenses must have a motorcycle endorsement.
Hungary is a full member of European Union. Tourists to Hungary and for most countries to which we travel to do not need visa and only a valid passport, but all participants are responsible for any documentation that may be required for entry and we advise to check before making the trip. Those taking part in a tour are responsible for arranging adequate travel, health, accident and theft insurance as well as trip cancellation insurance. Bring all the insurance documentation with you to be presented at the beginning of the tour.

SERVICES
The tour price includes:

  • Late model motorcycle with lockable hard luggage and/or tank bags plus a Third party liability insurance and Comprehensive vehicle insurance.
  • Competent guide/s on a motorcycle.
  • Support van for additional luggage
  • Overnight stays in quality 3*** hotels or quality Bed and Breakfast, including arrival and departure day with breakfast (buffet style). All rooms have private facilities.
  • Lunch and petrol for each day of the tour
  • Airport transfers on arrival and departure
  • VAT (Value added tax).

Other services are not included in the tour price and must be additionally requested.

ACCOMODATION
We provide both twin or double room or a single room accomodation. We will attempt to find a suitable roommate for every rider not specifying "Single room" on their booking form. We can arrange further accommodation for prior or after the tour as required but needs to be booked well in advance of the tour.  

MOTORCYCLES
The motorcycle and transportation vehicle rental is included in our tour packages. All our rental motorcycles are maintained by fully qualified motorcycle technicians. In the unlikely event of a motorcycle breaking down, we will repair the machine or replace it as soon as possible.
Extra motorcycle rental before or after the tour with unlimited mileage is also available.

MOTORCYCLE RENTAL
Any motorcycle rental reservation become final after a 150 GBP non-refundable deposit is received in full. If you fail to send your reservation deposit we may cancel your reservation at any time.
Modification of an existing reservation can be made free of charge if claimed at least 30 days before the commencement of the rental, otherwise a surcharge may apply.
The full rental amount and the security deposit are collectible before or at the time of the bike pick up.

PHOTO AND VIDEO MATERIAL
Photos and videos produced by Holiday Moto personnel or its representatives during the trip are the property of Holiday Moto Limited and copyrights remain with Hoiday Moto Limited. We can use, print or distribute this material for promotional and advertising purposes, including images that individual tour members can be recognized, without any charge for the use of the material.

WEATHER
We do our best to arrange the tours in the right locations at the right season. But we can not be made responsible for adverse weather conditions and no refunds or price adjustments will be made for such conditions.

BAGGAGE Our support vehicle can carry 2 pieces of luggage per person maximum, in addition to lockable on-bike storage.  Holiday Moto Limited assumes no responsibility for loss, damage or delay in delivering baggage to riders. Baggage handed over to Holiday Moto Limited is done so at rider’s own risk.

NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

The following documents are required to be presented on the first day of the tour and prior to departure or at the pre-tour meeting:

Driving license with valid motorcycle endorsement

Proof of medical and travel insurance

Photocopy of passport

Signed copy of release and waiver liability form

PRE-TOUR INTRODUCTION MEETING
prior to each tour’s departure we hold an introductory pre-tour meeting in order to go over the tour itinerary, answer any questions and help with any last minute preparation. This meeting is optional but we do highly recommend that everyone attends.
